Embracing Laughter to Create Success

How joy became my compass—and my superpower.

Do you usually smile or laugh a lot?
Do you ever wonder if you're laughing too loudly, or too often?
Have you caught yourself pulling back your joy, wondering what others might think?

If you've ever felt that way, you're not alone.
But let me invite you into a new perspective:
Laughter is not just a reflex. It’s a calling. It’s a gift.

And in my life, it’s become one of the most important tools I have—not just for joy, but for purpose and success.

A Joyful Origin Story

My name is Grace, and I’ve always laughed loudly, without apology.

As a little girl, I laughed endlessly. At my classmates’ jokes. At my grandma’s ridiculous stories about one-eyed giants roaming her village. At my own writing during class composition readings. And yes, even at being tickled until I cried.

Laughter wasn’t an accessory to my life. It was part of my identity.

In high school, my attempt to contain laughter during a friend’s “blended language” story led to our study group being dismissed early. I laughed until my ribs hurt—and that story still lives rent-free in my memory.

In college, if you wanted to find me, my dorm mates would just pause and listen.
The sound of my laughter would give away my location.
To this day, my dear husband Gabriel carries a message from my best friend Naomi:

“Your job is to make sure she never stops laughing.”

Laughter as Legacy

Over time, I’ve come to realize that laughter is part of my life purpose.
It’s one of the purest ways I serve others.

It keeps me grounded when life feels heavy.
It connects me to people in boardrooms, classrooms, and coaching spaces.
It reminds me that success isn’t meant to be suffered through—it’s meant to be lived, joyfully.

So now, I don’t shrink it. I share it.
Because joy, like light, is meant to be multiplied.

Are You a Shooting Star?

If you’ve ever felt like your joy was “too much”… or your brightness made others uncomfortable…
Let me gently suggest—you might just be a Shooting Star.

Shooting Stars are high achievers who bring more than skill—they bring light. Energy. Soul. Joy.
And while we often celebrate their results, we forget the radiance they carry simply by being themselves.

If you’ve been holding back your laughter or your light, this is your invitation to reclaim both.

Because laughter isn’t silly.
It’s sacred.
And when you pair it with purpose, it becomes power.

Reflection:

When was the last time you laughed so hard your belly ached?
What would it look like to lead, love, and live with more joy—on purpose?

And if this message made you smile, maybe that’s the nudge you needed to shine even brighter.

Because the world needs your light.
And your laugh.
