You are on the plains before sunrise. The game drive leaves camp in darkness. By the time the light comes — warm gold over the Kilimanjaro summit — you have already watched a herd of elephants move across the open ground in complete silence.
There is a journaling prompt waiting for you back at camp.
You have not opened it yet. You do not need to.
The landscape is already doing something.

Long table, Mara Enkaji Wilderness Camp. The air is warmer here, the light sharper.
The group is quieter than usual, in the way that people are quiet when something has shifted, not when nothing has happened.

You go out searching for lion, leopard, rhino, elephant, buffalo. By the time you find the first herd, elephants moving across the open ground in complete silence, nobody in the vehicle is reaching for a phone.

Ready · SET · Go · Hurray — Grace's four-phase coaching framework mapped across nine days on the ground in Kenya. The methodology is consistent across every Shooting Star Success programme. Here, it unfolds across four landscapes.
The decompression begins before you unpack.
You land at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport. Your body still carries the flight. The air is warm and different. The pace is immediately, noticeably slower.
You're met right outside the airport doors and transferred to Gem Forest Hotel Nairobi. The first evening asks nothing of you except to arrive.
No coaching prompts tonight. No agenda.

The first gathering. The question appears.
The morning begins with a game drive through Nairobi National Park — one of the only wildlife reserves in the world set directly against a capital city skyline, and a strong chance of rhinos, lions, and giraffes before lunch.
From there, a visit to the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust's baby elephant orphanage — a world-famous rehabilitation project that sets an unexpectedly tender tone for the day.
Lunch at the well-known Carnivore Restaurant, then the Giraffe Centre, home to the highly endangered Rothschild's giraffe. The afternoon brings the first formal coaching session — not in the bush, not under the stars, but here, grounded in the city, while the questions are still forming.
The welcome dinner is the group's first long table together. Grace facilitates one question. Not a coaching exercise — a conversation. The kind that does not usually happen in the rooms people like you usually sit in.

A full day off the beaten path, welcomed into an authentic Maasai village — conversations with the chief, storytelling with elders, traditional dances performed by Maasai warriors.
You learn the age-old technique of building a mud hut. The women teach handmade beadwork. There's a traditional village lunch, and laughter-filled games with the children.
In a community built entirely on custom, rootedness, and things passed down rather than invented, the first real Wheel of Life conversation begins — not as an exercise, but as a quiet question about what in your own life has that kind of foundation, and what doesn't.

You travel out of Nairobi toward Lake Naivasha, stopping along the way to take in the sheer scale of the Great Rift Valley.
On arrival, a peaceful boat ride around Crescent Island — the setting made famous by Karen Blixen's Out of Africa, known for its hippos, birdlife, and unguarded, surreal quiet.
The afternoon is unstructured — a dip in the pool, a walk along the garden paths, giraffes and zebras wandering close enough to notice. As the light turns gold, the first formal Wheel of Life session takes place outdoors, in it.

A morning departure for Lake Nakuru National Park, arriving in time for lunch. The afternoon game drive moves around the shimmering, flamingo-lined lake — hundreds of bird species, the rare white and black rhino, grand baboons, and a wide range of carnivores and herbivores.
You drive back to the shores of Lake Naivasha in the early evening. Over dinner, the coaching turns to the Wheel of Life scores a second time — a day of stillness between the first reading and this one.
The score that got talked around yesterday — the one that was always going to be the one — is on the table. In the conversation, someone else names the same thing. Then another person.
The community of this group is beginning to form.
The wide country opens up.
You depart for the Masai Mara, arriving in time for lunch. The afternoon game drive goes searching for the Big Five — lion, leopard, rhino, elephant, Cape buffalo — across a reserve that feels, immediately, larger than anything you've moved through so far.
As the light turns, a sundowner: your drink of choice, the savanna transforming beneath a setting sun that does not look real until you're standing under it.
The evening's coaching session grounds you in this new landscape and asks: what has already shifted since Day 1?

A full day in the Mara — morning and afternoon game drives with lunches back at camp, or a full day out with a picnic lunch in the bush, depending on what the group wants.

The evening's coaching session sits with what has surfaced so far — the Wheel of Life scores, the conversations by the fire, the questions that keep resurfacing in quiet moments.

For those who choose it, the day opens before dawn with an optional sunrise hot air balloon safari — a bird's-eye view of the savanna at first light, landing in a champagne bush breakfast in the middle of the wilderness.
Back at camp, the Vision Board workshop: not an arts-and-crafts session, but a structured coaching process that uses visual tools to access and articulate what you already know about what you're building toward.
As the sun sets, the fire. The Life Purpose Statement — said out loud, in front of the people who have witnessed the days that produced it.

Different from the drive in.
You exit the reserve and travel back toward Nairobi. The journey is quiet. Different from the arrival.
Lunch at the Karen Blixen Coffee Gardens, then a day-room at the Hilton Garden Inn Nairobi Airport Hotel for the last few hours of leisure before your flight — time to reflect, repack, or simply sit with it.

What happened in Kenya in 2023.
In 2023, twelve professionals — men and women — flew to Kenya for the inaugural Shooting Star Safari.
They came from different countries, different industries, different chapters of their careers.
They had one thing in common: the quiet sense that their success and their fulfillment were not quite pointing in the same direction.
Over eight days — across Nairobi, Ol Pejeta, and Amboseli —they watched wildlife in its own landscape, sat in fireside circles under skies this clear, visited a Maasai community, and worked through coaching sessions that produced different answers than any of them had reached at a desk.
They completed the Wheel of Life in an environment completely separate from their ordinary lives.
They built Vision Boards that reflected what they actually want — not what they perform.
They left with a Life Purpose Statement each of them still carries.
